Democratic Justice of the Peace Nominating Caucus

Charlotte Democrats will meet on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, to nominate candidates for Justice of the Peace to be elected in November.

Any Charlotte voters who identify with the Democratic Party are invited to attend and run for a nomination.  Charlotte has 12 JP's who serve on the Board of elections, the Board of Civil Authority and the Board of Tax Abatement.  JP's also have the authority to officiate at weddings.  Candidates must be willing to serve in all capacities when needed.
